Jack can’t believe how big Bitty’s eyes are. He jumps back and presses his hand to his cheek, because ow— that stings. Not that he didn’t deserve it, running around kissing people without their consent, tabarnak. Think next time, Jack, think.

“I thought— I thought you knew by now,” Jack says. How couldn’t he? “With uh, what happened with Parse.”
“Are you… serious?” Bitty asks, turning a bit, showing his profile, still careful.
“Uh— yeah.”
“And you're… interested in me?”
Jack blinks. “Hum. Yeah.”
“You never did anything before now!”
Yeah, well. “I know, I’m sorry. I was… slow to realize.”
Bitty is facing him again now, cheeks still red from— surprise, anger, chock. Breathtaking. “Prove it,” he says.
Jack guffaws. Prove it? “I thought it was pretty clear from the way I was kissing you just now.”
Bitty lifts his chin. “Okay. Kiss me again, then.”

“So, how did you two get together? Sébastien never told me,” Gabrielle says, a slight smirk on her face. “I bet it was all gooey and romantic.”
Jack throws Bitty a look.
“Ha,” Bitty laughs. “Try again.”
“He slapped me,” Jack says.
Gabrielle gasps. “Really?”
“I didn’t slap you very hard, though,” Bitty points out, and that is one big fat lie.
Jack presses a hand to his cheek, and fakes hurt. “My cheek is still red to this day, Bits.”
Bitty waves a hand around and rolls his eyes, (there might have been a whispered drama queen in there), and Jack grins.
“I’m not saying you weren’t wrong,” he says, “I should have asked first.”
Bitty looks back at him, all soft brown eyes. “Worked out pretty well in the end.”
“That, it did.”

I’m not the best versed in jewish wedding traditions but i’ll go with what i’ve seen in my family wedding experience!
obviously Bitty isn’t jewish so this is a mixed wedding, but they do have a chuppah and sign a ketubah for Jack to keep (with beautiful designs in gold and stuff, they’ll totally frame and hang it on a wall)
i love the glass breaking tradition, of course, also might i remind that ngozi herself referenced this tradition in a blog post talking about a zimbits marriage 👀
erev shel shoshanim starts playing at some point and they slow dance to it. jack lowkey starts crying (he’s so happy)
jewish music in general plays during the party, like it’s mostly a pop playlist, but jewish music is also very present, and both bitty and jack get the infamous chair treatment from Jack’s relatives, they fly high.

today im thinking about the huge buff bread guy from kikis delivery service. highly underrated guy
Genuinely just a good man. Wife adopts teenage witch that needs a place to stay in the city? Sure. Even though you got a kid on the way? That’s fine. Cat too? Love cats.
My favorite moment with him is when he goes to get some prepped baking sheets and he does this fancy twirl with them in front of Jiji. Like, there’s no other people in the room, he does this to impress a cat.
I don’t think he ever says more than a whole word the entire movie, and I still love him more than most Disney princes based on this one moment alone.
And the part where he wanted to surprise Kiki by making that beautiful elaborate sign OUT OF BREAD to advertise her business and he was all anxious for her to get home and see it
But then when he sees her coming he gets all bashful and runs away ðŸ˜
